Since the publication of the results of the HPTN 052 trial,1 “treatment as prevention” has become the new buzzword in the HIV/AIDS field. Advocates are hailing it as the beginning of the end of AIDS, researchers are talking about it at conferences, and countries are adding it to their national strategies. Futures Group Awarded USAID’s Implementation Science Investment Study

In August 2011, USAID released the Annual Program Statement (APS) “Implementation Science Research to Support Programs under PEPFAR”, and awarded a total of $21,029,441 for eight studies in seven countries. Each of the awarded studies will be for a maximum 3-year period of study implementation and with a total study budget of US$3 million or less. The scope of the APS encourages study proposals to address HIV technical-area-specific program areas, as well as how to strengthen the integration of programs across the prevention, care, and treatment continuum. Futures Group Welcomes Dr. Ruth R. Berg as Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives

Futures Group announced that Ruth R. Berg, Ph.D., will return to the company in February as Vice President of Strategic Growth Initiatives. In this role, Dr. Berg will be responsible for Futures Group’s efforts to pursue and penetrate new and emerging markets.
